COVID-19 Assessment

Compliance Assessment of Good Practices in Risk Management against COVID-19

EQA has developed the Conformity Assessment of Good Practices in Risk Management against COVID-19, as a basis for the progressive return to normality, essential for social and economic recovery.

The most effective measures we currently have to protect against contagion and spread are preventive. The implementation of protocols with controls in organizations is essential to protect ourselves, protect those around us and generate trust.

This evaluation is available for all types of facilities and services, whether they continue their activity or are preparing to open at the end of the State of Alarm.

Content of the Conformity Assessment against COVID-19

It consists of the review of the protocols implemented by the organizations, in accordance with the recommendations and requirements established by international and national publications, the National Institute of Safety and Health at Work, ministries and professional associations. Reinforced by the competence, rigor and knowledge that EQA provides throughout its history as a Management Systems Certification Entity.

In general terms, preventive measures cover aspects of hygiene and cleaning, HR, incident management, process control, both in purchases and suppliers, and in service provision. This vision shows us that the measures are perfectly integrable with the management systems implemented, if any, according to standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001.

Benefits of Conformity Assessment against COVID-19

Having the conformity assessment of these protocols provides several benefits to companies:

  • It demonstrates that the control measures established by official guides of the National Institute of Safety and Health at Work, ministerial guides, as well as procedures developed by organizations, professionals and associations have been implemented.
  • It represents a guarantee of security and trust, both for employees, clients and suppliers.
  • Clearly establishes the procedure to be followed by employees as a preventive measure against COVID-19.
  • It sets the guidelines for action in terms of personal and material hygiene, organization of shifts and spaces, protection of workers, detection of cases of contagion, etc.
  • It is integrated into management systems already obtained, such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001 or ISO 14001.

Phases of the evaluation process

The conformity evaluation process of Good Practices in Risk Management against COVID19 consists of the following phases:

  1. Certification request.
  2. Document evaluation phase.
  3. Review phase of on-site facilities.
  4. It sets the guidelines for action in terms of personal and material hygiene, organization of shifts and spaces, protection of workers, detection of cases of contagion, etc.
  5. Issuance of the certificate.
